Coaster locomotive 2105 will make its first public appearance for 2026 on Saturday January 17th! After pulling commuter trains in San Diego for over 25 years, the locomotive is now cared for by the Southern California Railway Museum in Perris, CA. Coaster locomotive 2105 is an F40PHM-2C type built by Morrison Knudsen in 1994. It was one of five locomotives built for the start up of commuter rail service in San Diego, CA. The locomotive was officially retired in 2021 and eventually made its way to the Southern California Railway Museum in 2025 for preservation.
